This weekend is the last chance for you to visit our exhibition at the Museum of Iron.
Over 50 people have exhibited and contributed to the exhibition and over 300 people have visited who have been over whelming positive about the quality and content on show.
We were pleased to welcome this week the Leader of Telford Council Shaun Davies and Cabinet lead for Heritage Carolyn Healy who described the exhibition as ” fabulous”.
During the project we have collected together a team of people with many different interests, skills and talents and in delving into the story we have unearthed many hidden stories, people and items that we believe contribute to Telford as it is today and also give a glimpse of what Telford might like in the future.
Here is Toby Neal’s account of the exhibition https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/features/2021/11/30/riotous-battle-behind-the-fish-counter-which-left-three-dead/
Some of you will have already read about Touch Telford which we have set out to tell the story of Telford and Wrekin using 100 items and places that you can touch that tell the history of the area going back to the start of time and finishing with a glimpse of what the future might have in store for us.
The exhibition is open from 12 till 2 on Saturday and Sunday.
