Learning

Cinderloo1821 has led many different events for people, community groups and schools to learn about the history around the Cinderloo Uprising.

These have included:

  • public workshops
  • heritage walks
  • talks and film showings
  • school projects

We have worked in partnership with Participate Contemporary Artspace CIC creative practitioners, other artist partners, the Granville Boys and heritage specialists, local historians, and Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust.

For our 2019 schools education programme, we secured grant funding support from the National Lottery Fund – Heritage and Historic England Heritage Schools.  This enabled us to work with six primary schools in Telford so that over 370 pupils took part in a range of fun activities to learn about Cinderloo.  There is a short video below which gives a flavour of these projects.  Read more on our schools page.

See our learning resources page to download materials and learn more about Cinderloo.

If you would like to discuss how we may organise an event or project with you then please email Andrew Howe via our contact page.
