The walk will start at 10am from the back of the Crown Inn next to the Oakengates bus station. The post code is TF2 6EA and there are public car parks in the vicinity.
The route is approximately 5 miles, mainly on footpaths, there is one area where the ground is uneven, some steps with handrail and there are 5 bridges that cross over the M54, the railway and the Eastern primary.
We will be passing Sainsburys at the Forge retail park and also the Euston Way pub where there are toilets and refreshments available.
We plan to arrive back at the Crown between 1.30 and 2 where there will be some sandwiches and Cinderloo beer available if people would like to relax following the walk.
We would encourage people to visit the www.cinderloo.com to find out more about the Cinderloo story and the activities of our group and also http://www.theminerswalk.org where you will find lots of interesting information about the sites on the route.
If you have any questions please contact pete62jackson@gmail.com or call on 07583403577
Finally, as part of the walk we will be launching a petition to have the new railway footbridge named the Cinderloo bridge and we hope all the walkers will support us and encourage others to support the campaign
I would like to join the walk on Saturday please
